‘Twas the Day Before Christmas

Will had a great day yesterday – he was able to get up, shower all by himself and even take a few strolls down to visit the nurse station.  He was taken off oxygen (a big win) and overall just felt a little better and more positive.

His brother, Jack, bought him a Nintendo Switch thinking it would be a good thing to have while he can’t get around and thus far it’s been a big hit!  His Thea Nicole and Uncle Mike brought over an incredible backpack filled with other gifts that will give him options to stay busy while here (thanks to the the Gabby Krause Foundation).  Best part of the day is when Stuva drew a really cool Spartan on Will’s door (it’s kind of their thing) and they had a “Dude’s Night In” and watched football and held court with the nurses – they are all impressed by his football savvy.

This morning was a little tougher because of a little more pain and increased headache.  Will had to do his 2nd lumbar puncture this morning, too (which can cause the headache) to administer chemo into spinal fluid.  We are still waiting on final results of the bone marrow biopsy which likely will take another week or so.

We are well taken care of and appreciate the continued love and support. We love hearing from you here on Caring Bridge and will post updates as they come as well as some pics…in the meantime wishing you all much holiday cheer! xoxo
